An outbreak of malaria in US army rangers returning from Afghanistan
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to identify malaria in US personnel deployed to a combat zone and soldier's self-report of compliance with antimalarial measures. The findings indicate that a total of 38 patients are infected with Plasmodium vivax, yielding an attack rate of 52.4 cases per 1000 soldiers.

Global malaria control in the 21st century
Article Abstract:
The 21st century has seen resurgence of focus on the burden of malaria and opportunities for its control. As financing for malaria endemic countries to purchase and deploy modern tools and therapies and other critical tools has increased dramatically.
