An evaluation of a community based service for people with learning disabilitiesaim to asses the quality and cost effectiveness of the services, and commnunity basedalternatives. An evaluation manual was developed with the use of consumer outcome measures.Workshops were organised so that managers and staff could identify suitable outcomemeasures.

The way in which retailers purchase their supplies could be applied to the health service. Some retailer trading principles include working closely with suppliers to offer customers a wide range of quality goods and the development and maintenance of good customer, staff and supplier relations.

Quality of life after radiation therapy

Article Abstract:

A study assessed the quality of life of women following radiation therapy after breast cancer. It was found that women functioned fairly well after therapy, with some women experiencing sleep and rest changes. There was evidence of fatigue-inertia, remaining 4-12 weeks after radiation therapy.
