Meral Ertunc: 1992 Nationals Lightweight Champion

Article Abstract:

Meral Ertunc was a former aerobics instructor who weighed a light 99 lbs. She would then give up instruction due to shinsplints. Surprisingly, bodybuilding was prescribed for her injury. In just one year she went up to 132 lbs. and soon became a women's bodybuilding champion.

Dorian Yates and Nasser El Sonbaty are the top contenders for the 31st Mr. Olympia which is going to be held at Arie Crown theater on Sept. 19-22, 1996. The Fitness Olympia competition for female bodybuilders is also included.

Lenda Murray ties Cory Everson's record at six!

Woman bodybuilder Lenda Murray won her sixth Ms. Olympia title during the event's 30th anniversary held in Atlanta, GA, in Jan. 1995. Murray's victory equalled Cory Everson's record of six victories.
