Milk shows potential as CT contrast agent
Article Abstract:
Researchers claim that milk could be a suitable alternative to the chalky-tasting barium-based contrast agents used for computed tomography (CT) imaging. Initial findings indicate that milk achieves similar bowel distension and enhancement as the common contrast agent VoLumen and the researchers believe it could be used in CT imaging because of patient acceptance, fewer abdominal symptoms, and lower cost.

Radiologists adjusting to revolution in CT
Article Abstract:
The emergence of 64-slice computed tomography (CT) is shaping up to be more than simply the next stage in the evolution of noninvasive diagnostic imaging, where radiologists are viewing it as a revolution. The 64-slice CT offers faster scan times, thinner CT sections, improved temporal resolution and the opportunity for volume imaging.

Some Radiologists Want More Money Up Front
Article Abstract:
The Radiological Society of North America believes many radiologists will not specialize in mammography because of low reimbursement rates. This in turn could lead to long waiting lists for mammograms at a time when more women are requesting them.
