More Medicare money?
Article Abstract:
The 1998 schedule for physicians' payments released by the Health Care Financing Administration features a single conversion factor that reduces surgeons' fees but raises payments for medical specialists. Changes include a $330 million redistribution of payments for practice expenses, reevaluation of management services and new coding guidelines for preventive procedures.
