Exercises for volleyball players include the power clean, the snatch, squats, calf raises, hammer and barbell curls, triceps extension, front and lateral dumbbell raise, upright rowing and the reverse flye. All will increase the strength and explosiveness of arm and leg actions.

Sprint for size

Article Abstract:

A discussion of possible variations in the sprint and running exercises are discussed which would effect leg muscle development. The variations are based on increasing the effort needed for running or slowly increasing the explosiveness of the leg muscles.
