Nurses can speed up A&E care provision

Article Abstract:

Health secretary John Reid stated that about two percent of all patients admitted to A&E need to stay longer than four hours for safety reasons. Thus, a new project was aimed to speed up the delivery of care by referring patients with less serious problems to GPs where the nurse practitioners could treat and then discharge patients.
