OSHA's new boss: Charles Jeffress prepares for takeoff

Article Abstract:

New Occupational Safety and Health Administration head Charles Jeffress has initiated a major revamp at the beleaguered agency. Top level positions have been filled with recalled high-level political appointees such as deputy assistant secretaries Greg Watchman, Emily Sheketoff, and the newly promoted E.B. Blanton. It is at the senior-executive services that bonafide changes are in store with vacant top OSHA positions in Boston, Denver, Dallas, and Seattle. In the latter category, Jeffress may encounter problems with the Department of Labor's apportionment of employment.
