Article Abstract:

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is facing problems due to lack of clear regulatory authority, plenty of underfunding, problems in the organization and less of post-approval data regarding drugs' risks and benefits. The FDA feels that the Congress should give it more money and legal support to enable it to enforce safety standards.
