Ousted CEO faces 85 counts, remains defiant

Federal prosecutors revealed an 85-count indictment alleging that the ousted HealthSouth chief, Richard M. Scrushy, masterminded a $2.7 billion fraud at the outpatient services. Filled with charges ranging from conspiracy to securities fraud, the indictment was returned by a grand jury and revealed on 4 November 2004.
