Pharmacokinetics and safety of Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate on coadministration with lopinavir/ritonavir

Article Abstract:

The steady-state pharmacokinetics of lopinavir/ritonavir (LPV/r) and tenofovir during multiple-dose administration relative to administration of LPV/r and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) is discussed. It was seen that higher tenofovir exposures did not result in any evidence of alterations in the safety profile for TDF and in the pharmacokinetic study.

Prednisolone pharmacokinetics in the presence and absence of ritonavir after oral prednisone administration to healthy volunteers

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze influence of low-dose ritonavir on prednisolone pharmacokinetics in healthy subjects. It showed that ritonavir significantly increased the systemic exposure of prednisolone in healthy subjects and corticosteroid exposure was likely elevated in HIV-infected patients receiving protease inhibitors.

Pharmacokinetics of emtricitabine, tenofovir, and GS-9137 following coadministration of emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate and ritonavir-boosted GS-9137

Article Abstract:

The potential for clinically drug-drug interaction between emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (FTC/TDF) and the ritonavir-boosted HIV integrase inhibitor GS-9137/r is evaluated. It is found that there is no clinically relevant drug-drug interaction between FTC/TDF and GS-9137/r on coadministration.
