Predictors of use of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) among persons with AIDS in San Francisco, 1996-1999
Article Abstract:
Although the percentage of HIV patients in San Francisco who take highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) increased between 1996 and 1999, many still do not receive this effective treatment. African-Americans, drug addicts, homeless persons, and the uninsured are least likely to take HAART.
