Preliminary results of early clinical trials with the fully human anti-TNFalpha monoclonal antibody D2E7
Article Abstract:
The pharmaceutical company BASF Pharma has developed a monoclonal antibody against tumor necrosis factor that contains human elements. Most monoclonal antibodies are made in mice, but humans could have an immune reaction to the antibody when it is used therapeutically. BASF Pharma's antibody appears to be effective in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
