Prenatal smoking linked to digit defects
Article Abstract:
Study reveals that smoking half of a pack per day or less significantly increases the risk of having a child born with defects like excess, webbed, or missing fingers and toes. Certain medications, as well as substances such as cocaine and alcohol, causes congenital limb abnormalities when used during pregnancy.

Chemicals linked to bladder cancer in smokers may play wider role
Article Abstract:
Non-smokers are also prone to bladder cancer risks, as some of the compounds in tobacco smoke contain harmful elements causing the disease. A new study has found that compounds called arylamines can be linked to bladder cancer risk in non-smokers and smokers.
