Annual Update of How Each State Stands on Legislative Issues Affecting Advanced Nursing Practice
Article Abstract:
Advanced nursing practice is variously regulated by state legislatures in the areas of reimbursement and prescriptive and legal authority. Specialities include nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, nurse anesthetists, and clinical nurse specialists. The health care industry, and especially managed care, faces increased competition and negative public perception, so advanced practice nursing will become a more important part of medical services.

Acute otitis media in children
Article Abstract:
Otitis media (OM), inflammation of the middle ear, affects many children but diagnosis and management is sometimes difficult in infants.
