Accidental deaths, saved lives, and improved quality
Article Abstract:
The limitations of ensuring patient safety, and preventing accidental deaths or injuries in contributing to quality healthcare to patients are underscored. The emphasis is on effective treatment on the basis of which outcomes can be assessed and quality care can be improved.

A professor of medicine speaks on his experience of his voluntary recertification in internal medicine course. He believes that recertification would help to be honest about the quality of care that professionals provide and to find new ways to improve it.
