Rotator cuff injuries: when your shoulder throws you a curve
Article Abstract:
Rotator cuff injuries are common among adults who make heavy use of their shoulders in their jobs and hobbies. The rotator cuff includes the muscles and tendons attached to the upper arm bone, the humerus. An injury involves damage or irritation to the muscles or tendons in three general categories: tendinitis, bursitis and a strain or tear. Minor injuries may be treated with rest, ice and heat, medication and gentle exercises.
