Selective cytotoxic T-lymphocyte targeting of tumor immune escape variants

Article Abstract:

A study to show the existence of a unique category of cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) that could prevent the escape of tumors in mice was conducted. The results show that the CTLs target an alternative repertoire of peptide epitopes that emerge in major histocompatibility complex class I at the surface of cells impaired function of transporter associated with antigen processing, tapasin or the proteasome.

T cells targeted against a single minor histocompatibility antigen can cure solid tumors

Article Abstract:

A report that the injection of CD8(super +) T cells primed against the immunodominant H7(super a) minor H antigen could cure established melanomas in mice are presented. T cells responsive to minor histocompatibility (H) antigens are very effective in curing leukemia but it is not known whether they could eradicate solid tumors.

Adoptive transfer of minor histocompatibility antigen-specific T lymphocytes eradicates leukemia cells without causing graft-versus-host disease

Article Abstract:

Adoptive transfer of T cells that react to minor histocompatibility eradicates hematopoietic cells, but this treatment has been associated with graft-versus-host disease. However, injecting T lymphocytes primed against minor histocompatibility complex produced a curative anti-leukemic response.
