Should we disband the CIA? 74 percent say no

The recent scandal over spy Aldrich Ames has caused the CIA to come under fire. Most of the readers who want the agency dismantled cite a need to spend money in areas other than espionage. Twenty-two percent of respondents said the Ames case affected their attitude toward the CIA.

Should America's immigration policy be more restrictive? 82 percent say yes

Fifty-seven percent of survey respondents cited population growth as the reason why they favored more restrictive immigration rules. Jobs, racial tensions and wages were other reasons named. Quality of life and other topics are also discussed.
