Specialist vs generalist

Article Abstract:

Specialist nurses are in a vulnerable position and at a top end of the pay scale, they could be seen as easy targets for trusts desperate to make the book balance. Some specialist nurses facing redundancy are also being forced back into more general roles and in some cases downgraded to working in their trusts as the real answer to this debate lies in ensuring that generalists and specialists work together and thus team can deliver care to the patients with a holistic approach.

The crisis in nursing morale

Article Abstract:

The article discusses the reasons as to why nurses' morale is falling fast mainly due to the heavy workload and poor pay. An estimate shows that nearly 80 percent of nurses feel that their workload is too heavy and their pay is too less.
