Speedy recovery

Article Abstract:

The treatment of a fifty-nine-year-old obese, depressive, asthma sufferer who had been involved in a car accident resulting in skin injury to her leg, which necessitated skin grafting, is described. A hydrocolloid paste dressing was used prior to skin grafting. The care plan included the nursing process, the Orem self-care model, and Clinitron air-fluidised therapy for one month. Following treatment the patient was attended at home by a district nurse twice-weekly, and three months later the graft was considered to have taken well.
