Stem cell research: Paths to cancer therapies and regenerative medicine

Article Abstract:

The properties of stem cells, their prospective isolation to provide new perspectives in virtually all aspects of medical science are discussed along with their therapeutic potential. The prospective isolation of stem cells and the studies of their biology have led to important new insights into biology, development, tissue regeneration, pathological conditions, cancer and regenerative medicine.

Will lung cancer targeting hit its mark?

Article Abstract:

New studies are making steps toward improving tumor response and prolonging survival for patients although more than 150000 people in the United States die of lung cancer each year. Treatments for lung cancer have expanded, particularly targeted therapies for patients with non-small-cell lung cancer.
