Stop crises turning into dramas
Article Abstract:
Mentally ill patients are provided with a crisis service in the UK, which offers them immediate support, help and even hospitalization should they suffer a major crisis, although health experts warn the service is preventing patients seeking long-term help. Making fuller use of community nursing skills and services allows mentally ill patients to take more control over their own lives, while reducing the amount of pressure on crisis services, which are often expected to pick up the pieces, despite a problem being long-term.

Article Abstract:
The availability of care for the elderly in the UK appears to depend on where they live, as some health authorities are much more austere than others. There is a shortage of staff in some areas, and thousands of beds have been closed. The supply of incontinence pads is also related to the address of a patient. According to a 1995 Audit Commission on the West Midlands, the services are inadequate for the needs of old people. There is a need for a campaign to improve the situation.
