Article Abstract:
Neurologists should refer patients with temporal lobe epilepsy to a neurosurgeon if drugs fail to control their seizures. Surgery on the brain is always risky, but new techniques allow surgeons to remove less brain tissue so patients have fewer neurological complications.

Suicide Prevention Plan Calls for Physicians' Help
Article Abstract:
Many people who commit suicide visited a doctor in the month before their death and many have a history of mental illness or substance abuse. This means that primary care physicians can play an active role in identifying people at risk of suicidal behavior.

Clinical Trials to Receive a Boost, But How Big?
Article Abstract:
If the Patients' Bill of Rights is passed into law, it will require insurance companies to cover the costs of a patient's participation in a clinical trial. This could increase enrollment in clinical trials, which would benefit all patients.
