Two-tier fears in pensions battle
Article Abstract:
The UK government's withdrawal of its plans to raise the pensionable age for National Health Service (NHS) staff to 65, had many nurses happy. However, if the pension arrangements for new recruits fall way below those of existing staff, there could be a two-tier system with the potential to cause friction between colleagues.

Confusion reigns in wake of new AfC overtime rules
Article Abstract:
The Agenda for Change (AfC) agreement, which was published in January 2005 is required to automatically pay nurses and midwives overtime if they work more than their contracted hours. However, they are concerned that AfC agreement fails to mention how trusts should manage overtime versus bank working fairly for the staff.
