Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) is a system whereby all nurses receive a job outline that states the level of skills and knowledge they must have to do that job. This outline contains a framework of how nurses in that post should develop their skills and knowledge in order to satisfy the requirements of the job.

Should ASBOs be used for suicidal patients?
Article Abstract:
The use of anti-social behavior orders (ASBOs) on mental health patients is controversial as people with personality disorders may lack the ability to make rational decisions. Many nurses are hoping that the ASBOs would be isolated cases among the many that issued in the UK for very obvious reasons.

Call for at-risk asthma register
Article Abstract:
The UK researchers have found that most deaths caused by asthma can be prevented by setting up registers of patients who are at risk. Respiratory nurse specialists feel that encouraging patients to attend reviews is more important.
