The South Asian earthquake six months later-An ongoing crisis

Article Abstract:

The 7.6 magnitude earthquake that struck northern Pakistan and India in October 2005 was the world's third deadliest natural disaster and left a trail of destruction and millions of people homeless. The disaster struck areas are the economically backward regions of those countries and this disaster further made life difficult because of lack of proper facilities, food, medicines and lack of funds to provide these things has made this earthquake even six months later an ongoing crisis.

Evacuated populations - lessons from foreign refugee crises

Article Abstract:

Refugee crises after natural disasters or during armed conflict are characterized by large numbers of people leaving their homes in a very short period of notice. The international relief community has hence recognized the importance of providing several basic resources, which include adequate quantities of clean water, appropriate food, sanitation facilities, health services, clothing, and bedding.

Health care coverage and drug costs-The candidates speak out

Article Abstract:

The number of uninsured people in the United States continues to grow and an absence of health benefits can have a stifling effect on economic growth. Ways regarding the modification of policy modify to ensure wider access to health benefits are suggested.
