The new Medicare regulations: how will they affect the profession?
Article Abstract:
The new Medicare regulations will affect the physicians assistant (PA) profession in various ways by 2000. PAs will be less restricted in care they are allowed to provide. Some PAs may not be reimbursed at as high a rate as in the past. The option to bill 'incident to' will still be available, though under more restrictive conditions.
