The end of the NHS?

Article Abstract:

The health service is in the midst of service cuts, redundancies, and recruitment freezes, despite record investments in the past years. Financial problems, job losses, and above all, confusion and loss of confidence raise questions about the viability of the NHS model, whether it will be able to address the financial pressures, the challenge of an ageing population, and the survival of 'free healthcare for all'.

Sharing best practice across the Atlantic

Article Abstract:

The UK and US may be completely different in the way their health systems are financed, but nursing in both the countries is facing the same challenges. The US is way behind the UK in this matter because US patients tend to access secondary services directly whereas in the UK at least primary care nursing will continue to lead the way.
