Heart, a part of human body is a pump consisting almost entirely of muscle with unique features like intercalated discs, cardiac muscle, and mitochondria of cardiac cells. Detailed structure of the heart is provided with details about the chambers, valves, and heart layers along with the information on blood flow through the heart and problems caused by chamber enlargement.
