Ccr2 deficiency impairs microglial accumulation and accelerates progression of Alzheimer-like disease
Article Abstract:
Diseases like Alzheimer's are caused when the microglia, the principal immune cells of the brain, accumulates in the plaque membranes of the brain. This article explains how deficiency of Ccr2, a chemokine receptor, acts as a protective shield in the early stages of Alzheimer disease.

Angiopoietin-like proteins stimulate ex vivo expansion of hematopoietic stem cells
Article Abstract:
The role of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs)-supportive mouse fetal liver CD3+ cells is examined. The expansion of HSCs in culture was supported by angiopoietin-like 5, angiopoietin-like 7 and microfibril-associated glycoprotein 4.
