There are lessons to be learnt in the aftermath of a scandal

Article Abstract:

The 2005 Healthcare Commission reported the Clostridium difficlle epidemic at the Stoke Mandeville Hospital to be the carelessness of the management as they gave more importance to the targets rather than the safety of patients. The hospital with the nurses, managers, doctors and the cleaners have adopted the infection control initiatives, improvements are made and are all set to restore the public's trust in the hospital.

"We need to ensure that study days are valuable"

Article Abstract:

The nurses who are undertaking final OSCE exams as part of their masters degree should utilize all their study days correctly and properly. The study time should not be treated as time away from the stresses of the ward and they should make the study days available beneficial to themselves, their patients and their employers.
