To lift or to leave?
Article Abstract:
A nurse and his manager give their accounts of a situation in which the nurse sustained a back injury. The two parties discuss the liability issues involved. The injury occurred in a residential nursing unit. A young man, who was unable to use his legs, occasionally stayed in the unit. His own wheelchair was out of action for one of these visits and the occupational therapist arranged for him to use a chair which was much too small for him and which had fixed sides. The nurses, therefore, had to lift the man when he would usually have been able to lift himself or use a hoist.

The $700,000-a-year drone
Article Abstract:
Bond and stock traders of the '90s celebrate prosperity differently from their 1980s counterparts. An example is the popularity of golf and other suburban pastimes among finance professionals. The absence of conspicuous consumption reflects, among other things, the graying of Wall Street.
