Treating complex wounds at home

Article Abstract:

'The Hospital at Home project' for plastic surgery and burns patients, is run by four nurses namely Lesley Street, Anne Keogh, Lynette Spain and Ruth Waters. The project includes the nurses-led management of complex wounds supporting the early discharge of patients undergoing complex wound care, requiring specialist plastic surgery and burns nursing, and also the prevention of patients by treating them in their own homes and preparing their wounds for surgery.
