Two sides to every story

Article Abstract:

Bethlem Royal Hospital, in London, UK, is celebrating its 750th anniversary by holding a series of events during 1997, however, this is raising objections from mental health service users who say that, in the past, the hospital treated its patients very brutally, and that these celebrations do nothing to improve the public's attitude towards people with mental health problems. The hospital defends its approach because the events will raise the issue of mental health, and argues that users now do have a say in how the service responds to their needs.
