Understanding difficult-to-control asthma
Article Abstract:
Patients with asthma who remain symptomatic despite maximum therapy are regarded as difficult-to-control asthma and have greater risk of death, feel greater morbidity, have a lessened quality of life and suffer from adverse side-effect from the drug therapy. The patterns of difficult-to-control asthma, accurate diagnosis and factors resulting to loss of asthma control are described.
