Where split seconds can save lives
Article Abstract:
The patients coming into the A&E department tend to be relatively minor or non-urgent conditions, and hence the nurses cannot build up relationships with their patients over days or even weeks like those in other specialties. It is suggested that a long-term career in A&E is ideal for people who thrive on unpredictability and challenges.
