Squats have generally been regarded as an effective means of developing bigger legs while its potential for aerobic training has been relatively underestimated. Unknown to many, an intensive squat workout can equal or even surpass the aerobic benefits gained through running.

The standing leg curl is one of the best exercises for developing the middle and lower end of the hamstring muscles. For maximum results, the thigh should move forward slightly to relieve some of the stress that can accumulate on the knee joint.
