Why the modern community has stopped caring

Article Abstract:

Community care is seen as a positive concept in the UK yet it is also a vague concept. Communities are both localities and social systems and are also relationships involving care and sharing. Communities allow individuals to feel they belong. Localities have become less important as a way for people to organize themselves, and increased mobility has also affected communities. Informal carers have become more important as the government has placed more emphasis on community care, yet these carers have insufficient support.
