Workers-comp update
Article Abstract:
State workers-compensation rules consider four categories of disability. Temporary total disability is applied to physically incapacitated workers who are unable to do any form of work while temporary partial disability covers employees who can perform some of their duties. Permanent total disability refers to totally disabling injuries while the permanent partial category describes an injury which adversely affects a worker's earning capacity and labor market competitiveness.

Workers-comp update
Article Abstract:
The National Council on Compensation Insurance Inc. (NCCI) gives four-digit industry-classification codes to categorize employers for the workers-compensation risk. There is an appeals process for those who would like a re-evaluation. One can contact an insurance agent or broker to review the classifications or request an inspection by the NCCI, the state's insurance-appeals board or insurance department to determine the classification's accuracy.
