Article Abstract:

The 1996 National Safety Council's Congress and Exposition was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA. More than 15,000 people attended the event that was characterized by five days of meetings, introduction of novel concepts and discoveries. Several occupational health and safety concerns were discussed during the exposition. These include management's commitment to safety programs, motor vehicle fatalities and the importance of responsibility and human intervention.

Article Abstract:

The details of the National Safety Council's 93rd Annual Congress and Expo, in collaboration with XVIIth World Congress on Safety and Health at Work, are presented. The event was held from September 17-23, produced by the National Safety Council, the triennial World Congress, and was organized by Labor Organization and the National Safety Council. The focus of the Expo was on the importance of workplace safety and role of safety professionals, nationally and internationally.
