A.M. Rosenthal

Article Abstract:

Canadian-born American journalist A.M. Rosenthal worked for over fifty years with the New York Times, becoming a Pulitzer Prize-winning correspondent, and subsequently, a demanding chief editor of relatively conservative social and political bent. Abe Rosenthal was credited with modernizing and brightening American journalism's old 'Gray Lady', making extensive changes in the newspaper that resulted in the reversal of a declining readership and a great increase in advertising and profits.

Skitch Henderson

Article Abstract:

Grammy Award-winning Skitch Henderson is a pianist and orchestra leader and also the founder of the New York Pops Orchestra and a guest conductor of many symphony orchestras. He was better known to millions of viewers as the first bandleader on the Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in the 1960s.
