Bush as campaign manager, chief of staff, and secretary of state. An influential figure in American politics, he was instrumental in guiding George H.W. Bush's successful campaign for the White House in 1988.

Hansen, James E

Goddard Institute for Space Studies Dir Hansen, who was born in 1941 in Charter Oak, IA, was inspired by astronomer and physicist James Van Allen. Hansen created a controversy when he announced that industrial gases caused global warming, but many scientists later began to agree with him.
