Many ecofeminists contend that ecofeminism is the best means to fight dualism and end the belief that women are inferior to men. However, ecofeminists tend to focus more on this issue rather than on environmental ones. This underscores the need for a new cerebral construct that will enable both men and women to realize that a human being is a complex blending of emotional/social needs and motives.

Catlett, Elizabeth
Article Abstract:
Elizabeth Catlett has been practicing the art of sculpting and painting for 50 years. Her art was mostly inspired by African-American and Mexican women and the mother and child motif was among the various themes she used. Catlett still works in her Cuernavaca studio in Mexico, even while afflicted with arthritis for many years.
