Deborah Meier, educator and education reformer

Deborah Meier is an educator, educational theorist, educational reformer and writer. Meier began teaching in Chicago in 1961 and in mid-1970s she helped found four alternative public schools in the East Harlem neighborhood of New York, writing books and articles on education, and bringing changes in the education system.

His latest book, which is scheduled to be published in early 2006 by Steerforth Press, 'Empire and Exile: The Brynners in Far East Russia and Beyond' reveals the history of Russia and his own family.
