Michael Fuchs is generally credited with leading Home Box Office (HBO) to become the dominant pay-cable TV channel in the world. He was CEO of HBO for 11 years and in 1995 also became CEO of Warner Music Group, HBO's sister company. Fuchs was fired from both positions later in 1995.
