Fred Hersch, Jazz pianist and composer
Article Abstract:
Fred Hersch, a composer, arranger, producer and pianist, has collaborated with many masters of jazz and also worked with many lesser-known jazz specialists. Hersch is a risk taker who can swing hard and play with emotional immediacy and few jazz pianists have ever struck as beguiling a balance between technique, feeling, insight and imagination.
