The life and work of Jeffrey R. Immelt, chairman and CEO of General electric Co. (G.E.) is described. He made a beginning in Procter & Gamble and has rose to current position facing a lot of challenges which included national economic downturn, 9/11 attack which led to sharp decline in the companies stock value; which he has met by increasing securities at GE facilities and increased capital investment for R&D there by restoring investor confidence.
