Jan Karon

Jan Karon born Janice Meredith Wilson in 1937 is a writer and author of a highly popular series of novels on Father Timothy Kavanagh, an Episcopal minister, and the fictional village of Mitford, North Carolina. At 18, she worked for an advertising agency. She published her novel At Home in Mitford in 1994. The book was nominated three times (1996, 1997, and 1998) for an American Booksellers Book of the Year Award.
