The accomplishments of Clark Kerr May 17, 1911-Dec 1, 2003 as an educator, a visionary and a seminal planner in American higher education is discussed. Kerr was the father of California's Master Plan for Higher Education, which influenced the public higher education in the U.S. and to some extent, also internationally.
